With nearly 30 years in the trenches of American politics, Chris Garland has seen campaigns from every angle - and at every level.
He served as Chief of Staff to California Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom, where he managed statewide operations and chaired the California State Lands Commission. He's been the Political Director for a 23,000-member organization, managing millions in PAC and advocacy funds while defeating a ballot initiative backed by the governor and bipartisan legislative leadership. He's run cutting-edge voter analytics programs in Washington, D.C., developed landmark economic policy in Sacramento, and managed hard-fought campaigns that closed double-digit polling gaps.
Chris worked with high-net-worth principals on multi-state ballot measure campaigns, directed groundbreaking voter research projects, and built the data-driven targeting systems that modern campaigns depend on. He's written legislation on Capitol Hill, produced media in state-of-the-art studios, and coordinated coalitions of dozens of organizations for unified field programs.
Whether it's developing California's first Economic Growth and Competitiveness Agenda, managing a $2.2 million PAC, or registering 46,000 voters in a single summer, Chris brings strategic thinking, political instincts, and a track record of getting results in high-stakes environments.
He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Alabama and is completing his M.A. in Motorsports Management from Belmont Abbey College.
